Because every stone is grown from your own sample, no two are identical — metal finish, setting and stone colour will vary from piece to piece. What you receive is the piece described on this page, not the exact photograph shown.
Two paths, one promise
Collect up to 5g of clean, dry fur — brushed from the chest or tail where the coat is thickest. Works with cats, dogs, rabbits, horses and birds. We clip a memento coat into the memorial frame free of charge.
Requires the explicit written consent of the person whose hair is used, or that of their legal representative after passing. Hair must be cut, never shaved, and sent with a signed authorisation form.
Good to know: A diamond grown from carbon does not literally contain your pet or person — it contains the carbon that was in their hair. We describe every piece as “memorial” or “remembrance”, never as a claim of bringing anyone back.
Proof, not promises
This is an actual certificate issued for a 0.5ct round brilliant grown from a pet's hair. Yours will carry its own stone's numbers and be traceable by the report ID.
A 0.5ct round brilliant at D / VS2 / Good is a well-matched stone. Colour and clarity are determined by the growth itself — we cannot promise a specific grade in advance, which is why we quote only after analysis.
Your stone is set in your chosen mount and presented in a lined case with its grading report and a keepsake booklet. Insured delivery, signature on arrival.

How it works
Kit ships free. Includes scissors, sealed vial, sample guidance and an authorisation form.
Weigh, photograph and log your sample. You receive a confirmation with its arrival weight.
Hair is cleaned, and the pure carbon is extracted under low-temperature plasma.
Carbon is converted into a rough diamond over 20–28 days in a sealed chamber.
Cut to grade, laser-inscribed, certified, then set in your chosen mount. Delivered insured.

Good questions
Yes — it is a genuine, lab-grown (man-made) diamond, chemically and physically the same as mined diamond. It is laser-inscribed with the FURLUM mark and ships with an independent grading report. It is graded separately from mined stones, and we label it as lab-grown everywhere on this site.
3g minimum for a 0.15ct stone, 10g maximum for a 2.5ct stone. Grey or white hair yields lower carbon, so white and grey coats may produce a slightly smaller stone than the estimate — we'll tell you before we start.
Only with explicit written consent from that person, or from their legal representative after death. Every human-hair kit includes the authorisation form; orders without it are refused and refunded. We never publish identifying information about a sample.
After growth we return any unused portion to you by insured courier, on request, at no charge. Your sample is never sold, reused for other customers, or retained indefinitely.
No mining is involved at any stage. Our HPHT presses run on contracted renewable electricity where available, and every centre stone ships with a traceability record tying it to your kit's sample number.
Carbon purity below our threshold means the rough won't form properly. In that case we refund the full stone price and either re-cut from a new sample or return it — your choice. This happens on roughly 3% of orders.

We grow your diamond only after the deposit clears. When the stone is ready we send you photographs and the certificate; the remaining 70% is then due within 30 days, before shipping.
